Grail - S/T (1971)

Grail - S/T (1971)

Just ignore the Rod Stewart production credit and you will find a crazy Prog/Psych album.
Connected to the great 60's freakbeatsters 'the Game'.
Released in 1971 but recorded in 1970 and released in germany only, you can tell the
quality of the acid was still good then. This contains classical and eastern moves mixed with Psych and Prog elements.

By the way the artist for this album cover, who died not long ago (I think) is, Frenchman Philippe Druillet, whose trippy imagination and innovative designs help found Metal Hurlant in '75 along with Moebius, which later turned into Heavy Metal here in the US. Check out some of his Lone Sloane graphic novels if they're still in print.

Hey, hello, this album was released in UK and the original cover was different in both issues. The cover you show is a reissue, not the original.
