The Berkeley E.P's (1966-1967)

The Berkeley E.P's (1966-1967)

A massive face off between Country Joe & The fish, Frumious Bandersnatch, Mad River and Notes From The Underground. Very rare early e.ps from these Berkeley based outfits that prove that the action wasn't confined to the Haight. Dipped in high grade Owsley, these e.ps will leave a hole in the top of your brain.

The Mad River and the Country Joe & the Fish trax are absolute killers!
Strongly recommended to every psych head.

Of course we all know about CJFish & Mad River but I was really surprised by Frumious Bandersnatch - I'd assumed they'd be second rate but they are really inventive & accomplished, classic SF sound. Some of the The Notes F Underground tunes ain't bad either...
